s1mple: I have a feeling the tournament (IEM Katowice) might get canceled
In a video from NAVI, the Ukrainian reveals doubts about the upcoming tournament in Poland.
The first big event of the year is only five days away. IEM Katowice will feature all the best teams in their hunt for the $400.000 in first prize.
Favorites to take home the title and the money is NAVI. The CIS team started the year slowly by losing two best of 1's matches at BLAST Premier Spring Groups but managed to qualify anyway after a run in the lower bracket.
- We got off to a sluggish start because everyone had just gotten back from a break during which I was playing other games, so that was deserved, Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev explained in a video from NAVI.
Now the focus is set on IEM Katowice, though the Ukrainian Superstar is not sure if the tournament is going to take place.
- I have a feeling the tournament might get canceled, he said before revealing, that the team is in much better shape now.
The difference is huge. We are gaining our form and I feel like it's getting better every day. We've been brushing up on things and now are going to practice our weaker maps. We need to improve our Overpass game. We are kind of rusty on it, s1mple revealed.
