s1mple declines football superstar Neymar’s offer to come to Paris
The quickest hands in CS:GO to face the fastest feet in football. What a crossover that could have been.
CS:GO phenomenon Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev is without doubt one of the biggest personalities in Counter-Strike history, why the Ukrainian AWPer also has gathered massive fan base within esports over the years.
However, s1mple has also managed to get to some world-famous admirers from more traditional sports.
In an interview with Logitech, the NAVI superstar reveals that he knows that there are multiple sports stars watching him play CS, although he’s a bit cautious about calling them fans.
- I wouldn't say they're fans. Maybe they like watching me play. But yes, there’s Kristaps Porzingis, an NBA basketball player from the NBA, Ukrainian footballers - Zinchenko and other guys. But Zinchenko is the one who always congratulates and messages me.
"Who else?" s1mple asks but then quickly remembers a certain Brazilian superstar.
- Neymar. Yeah, he invited me to come to Paris, but I don’t have the time really. Though I would love to meet Messi and show him what Counter-Strike is, s1mple stated.

Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior is a well-known Counter-Strike enthusiast and is from time to time streaming CS:GO to his more than 2 million Twitch followers. The PSG footballer has also shown support to his fellow Brazilians from FURIA on several occasions and is actually a super decent CS:GO player himself.
Something we got the CS:GO pro Niels-Christian “NaToSaphiX” Sillassen to take a deeper look at to see whether Neymar could play professional or not. Check it out down below.
