Russian youngsters secure a spot at the Grand Final
Gambit takes down K23 by a convincing 2-0 win in the semifinals of MIDNITE Nine to Five 7.
Gambit continues their strong form which they have put up lately, by eliminating K23 from MIDNITE Nine to Five 7. The Russian team closed down the series in quick fashion through strong performances on Mirage (16-10) and Inferno (16-6).
K23 featuring the former Gambit player Rustem “mou” Telepov was given no room and possibility in the match and was heavily overmatched against Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov and company. The Russian rifler dominated the first map of Mirage by setting up a strong 1.50 rating, 27-15 K-D, and 104.4 ADR
The second map on Inferno was a complete walkover in the purest sense of the word. Gambit cruised through K23, who looked like a team that already have given up. Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov and the rest of Gambit could with ease secure the map 16-5, through an ace from the Russian AWPer in the 10th round.
Gambit will either play forZe or Cloud9 in the Grand Final which is set for 12:00 (CET)
