Russian prodigy: In a year, I see myself playing for NAVI’s main squad
Is m0NESY the future of Russian Counter-Strike?
The Counter-Strike titans from Natus Vincere may not only hold the best CS:GO player in current time with Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, the Russians may also hold the future of CS:GO.
Because on their academy team of NAVI Junior, they have a very promising and extremely gifted 15-year old talent who’s running around clipping heads left, right and centre.
The name is Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov.
In a recent interview with Natus Vincere, m0NESY talks about his future with the Russian organization and how he sees himself playing alongside s1mple, electronic and the rest of NAVI, in a year.
- In one year, I see myself in NAVI’s main squad, which I know requires a lot of work. I also want to win a couple of tournaments with Natus Vincere Junior and for us to enter the Top 30.
I want to get fluent in English, as this is a vital aspect of esports and I want to be able to give interviews in English and to communicate better with English-speaking players.
The talented youngster acknowledges that his CS:GO game isn't flawless yet, and that he has some things to refine and improve.
- There are things like my consistency. Even though I’ve been doing pretty well lately, there are games where I might end up playing poorly and with a negative K/D. So that’s something I have to work on.
