Pley of the Day: sh1ro nearly gets an ACE to clutch the round
Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov’s ace and 1v4 clutch are denied by Akuma’s final CT alive.
On Saturday, Gambit managed to secure a spot in the EPIC League CIS grand final after a dominant 2-0 victory over Akuma. The youngsters from Gambit stopped the underdogs’ 8 match win streak after the surprise of the tournament demolished CIS’ #1 and #3 teams, NAVI and Virtus.pro, in the first two rounds of the upper bracket at the RMR event.
In the match against Akuma, Gambit’s AWPer was so close to make one of his best plays in his career. After taking down the first opponent, sh1ro went in clutch mode and was looking to secure the round all by himself. Unfortunately, he got denied by the final enemy as he was standing in a tough position on the B-site of Overpass. But well, it’s enough for our Pley of the Day!
