NAVI wins 5th place decider at CIS RMR event
The much-discussed fifth place decider match is now history.
First, the two teams thought, that they had made a deal, that would allow Entropiq and NAVI to split the RMR points and prize money for fifth and sixth at EPIC CIS League.
But then Valve intervened, and then the two teams had to play the match two days after the conclusion of the event, much to the displeasure of the players.
Today the match was finally played. Natus Vincere won 2-0 after Aleksandr 's1mple' Kostyliev once again put on a fantastic show. The Ukrainian mastermind destroyed all opposition on both Overpass and Train and went 53-29 in K-D on the two maps. It was only Aleksey 'El1an' Gusev who could keep up for Entropiq, while Valeriy 'B1T' Vakhovskiy from NAVI also continued his impressive 2021 with a good performance.
The final standings for EPIC League CIS 2021:
1. Gambit - 1600 points
2. Virtus.pro - 1500 points
3. Akuma - 1400 points
4. Spirit - 1300 points
5. Natus Vincere - 1200 points
6. Entropiq - 1100 points
7. forZe - 950 points
