NAVI and s1mple send FURIA to the loser’s matchup!
A stellar performance from NAVI’s superstar secured them a spot in the winners’ match.
Natus Vincere repeated their 2-0 victory over the Brazilians from BLAST Premier Fall Finals and will now move onwards to the winners’ matchup in Group B after completing the sweep against FURIA taking the series 2-0 on Inferno (16-11) and Nuke (16-13). An absolute monster performance from s1mple throughout the series made sure NAVI avoided the elimination game.
Even though FURIA lost a convincing game against NAVI last time on Inferno they still picked the map to start off the series, which unfortunately didn’t pay off this time either. After some struggles to close out the first map, s1mple got a quad-kill on match point in a 2v5 situation.
In the next map of the series, FURA came out on top of a back-and-forth battle and took the lead by 8-7 in the first half. However, the second half began with s1mple killing two opponents in the vent, which gave the NAVI squad confidence and made FURIA struggle for momentum.
The Ukrainian beast finished off the game with another deciding quad-kill to end the series with an impressive rating of 1.49, 97.4 ADR, and a 56-32 score.
NAVI are set to face the winner of Liquid vs. Heroic for a spot in the playoffs on Thursday, while the Brazilians will play the loser for survival in the tournament.
