NaVi knock Team Liquid out of BLAST Premier World Final
The Russians will take upon Vitality in the Consolidation final.
NAVI secured a top-three finish at BLAST Premier World Final 2021 after defeating Liquid 2-0. They will be facing Vitality in Consolidation final on Sunday at 14:30 (CET) to fight for a spot in the Grand final.
The series kicked off on Dust 2, Navi’s map pick. But it was Liquid that kicked it off with a solid lead 5-2. NAVI began to find their footing as they found more space on the bombsites to tie the score 5-5. However, FalleN’s men found success at the end of the and took a 9-6 lead into the break. The tides turned in the second half, though, as NAVI slowly began to claw back, building momentum and defending to perfection into a streak of ten to close out the first map of the series, 10-16.
The series continued on the streets of Inferno, where NAVI came best from the start and went on an early 3-0 lead. Both teams then traded rounds back-and-forth, but the Russians were able to finish off the first half with a 9-6 lead. NAVI kept their momentum after halftime, winning the three first rounds to extend their lead. Liquid struggled to stabilize their defense, and s1mple continued to perform, delivering 13 more kills in the second half to help his team. A 1v2 clutch from electronic closed the map 16-11, and the series 2-0.
