NaVi earn their spot in the Grand Final!
Natus Vincere are on a completely different level right now
BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021 was set to find its first Grand Finalist when Natus Vincere and Vitality locked horns. The infamous battle between “s1mple” and “ZywOo” would conclude with either one of them earning a spot in the Grand Final of BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021 in Copenhagen. Natus Vincere are currently a scary beast to face and will seek to further add to their current win-streak of 8 consecutive series victories. To put a stop to this was the French from Vitality. Whilst they, undoubtedly, gave it their all, it was clear that no team can compete against an in-form NaVi roster at this current moment of time. In just two maps it was the CIS giants to take home the victory against Vitality and to take their well-earned spot in the Grand Finals of the event.
The first map was the choice of Vitality and saw the Bo3-series start on Inferno. The map of Inferno is known to create and facilitate tense and close battles between almost every tier-one team within the scene. It was clear that both teams felt somewhat at home on Inferno – leaving it all down to strategical aspects of the two teams’ T-sides and the sheer individual skill within the rosters. It was NaVi to start the strongest on Inferno, posing a scary defense for the French to breakthrough. With “s1mple” performing from the get-go it seemed a tall task for Vitality to regain control once NaVi had gained the lead. At 9-6, it was “s1mple” and his troops to go to halftime comfortably. The second half brought more dominance from the CIS giants. Only allowing their opponents a single round on their CT-side it was NaVi to claim victory at the impressive scoreline of 16-7.
The second map of the series was to be played on Nuke and was, of course, picked by Natus Vincere. As we know, the superstar of NaVi in “s1mple” is the best performing player by a land mile on Nuke. After a dominant performance on Inferno, it was interesting to see if Vitality had what it would take to tame “s1mple” on his own home ground. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it was NaVi to come flying out of the gate on their T-side. After the impressive win on Inferno, it seemed as if nothing could stop them on Nuke. A frustrated Vitality side had little to do against a dominating NaVi roster. With sheer aggression and confidence, the T-side of NaVi completely rolled through Vitality which meant an impressive 11-4 lead at halftime. In the second half, all NaVi had to do was to finish what they had started – and they did exactly that. Only giving up two rounds to their French opponents’ T-side, it was NaVi to take home the 2-0 victory at the scoreline of 16-6.
