NAVI back with a victory against Liquid
NAVI eliminates Liquid at BLAST Spring Groups.
NAVI advanced to the next stage of the gauntlet at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022 after defeating Liquid 2-0.
The action started with NAVI’s map pick of Mirage, and the CIS team barely came out on the first half but still managed to get an 8-7 lead before halftime. EliGE and company did a great job, while the containing Major champions struggled on the offense in the first half. After switching sides, NAVI showed their power, thanks to another impressive performance from s1mple, closing the map 16-10 with a 32-11 K-D.
Onto the second map of the series was to be played on Ancient, picked by Liquid. The CIS team made the best out of their CT side, completely closed the map, while the North American couldn’t maintain their performance from the first map. Down 13-2 in the first half, Liquid had to make the comeback of the year. Despite looking much better on the defense for Liquid, NAVI secured the three necessary rounds to close the map and the series 2-0.
