Multiple 1vX situations enables Na'Vi's first win
An extremely close matchup saw Na'Vi take the win vs Heroic
Heroic had the scariest start of all as they were set to take on the world’s #1 and defending grand-slam winner Na’Vi in their first matchup of the Legends Stage. The Danes had to hope that the Russian organization were a little bit rusty, otherwise, it would be an uphill battle. That battle would take place on Ancient with Na’Vi starting on the CT-side defending against the Heroic terrorist.
As expected Na’Vi was 100% ready from the start, “electronic” starting the map with a quad-kill in the pistol, showing that Heroic are not welcome in mid. The superstars of Na’Vi kept shining early in the half as “electronic” and “s1mple” combined for 15 frags after five rounds. Unexpectedly the favorites started slowing down which allowed Heroic to string together five rounds in a row. A very competitive half ended at 8-7 in favor of Na’Vi with “electronic” leading the way with 16 kills.
The second half started great for Heroic as they were able to hold off the b-push thanks to the investment into a couple of Dual-Berettas. The two seemingly evenly matched teams kept going showing excellent form, and Heroic looked very good in many situations, but the Na'Vi players somehow managed to win multiple 1vX situations which really was the deciding factor in an otherwise very close game.
