Media: HUNDEN face two-year suspension
According to Danish TV2, the former Heroic coach, Nicolai 'HUNDEN' Petersen will be sanctioned with a two-year ban by ESIC.
Nicolai 'HUNDEN' Petersen once again stole the headlines for all the wrong reasons, after he was kicked out of Heroic due to allegations about sharing "confidential and sensitive information with a key individual at a major competitor prior to the tournament".
The Norwegian-owned team is not the only part, that has taken a closer look at the situation. The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) issued a statement shortly after, where the organization awaited further investigations before making any conclusions. The report from ESIC was expected to be released this Tuesday, but according to Danish TV2, it will be made public on Friday.
The findings from ESIC will lead to a two-year ban for HUNDEN according to TV2, who has also talked with the 30-year-old coach, who explains, that he has not been called in to give his statement in the case.
- I am deeply touched by this situation. I am deeply unhappy that they do not choose to hear me in this case, as I think it is a huge case of assessment, Nicolai 'HUNDEN' Petersen says.
