IEM Katowice MVP: Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov
Gambit’s sh1ro earned his first MVP award at IEM Katowice 2021.
The 19-year-old AWPer claimed the IEM Katowice 2021 MVP after he and the rest of Gambit clinched their biggest title so far along and $400.000 following a 3-1 victory over Virtus.pro in the grand final. Gambit managed to fight all the way from the lower bracket after they lost to Evil Geniuses in the opening stage of the tournament.
sh1ro wasn’t as impactful for his team in the last two series as he was in the rest of the event, being a consistent key player in nearly all the victories his team grabbed. The 19-year-old AWPer finished the tournament with a 1.27 Rating in 17 maps and won the same number in clutches as the current record holder at single events, Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev.
Leaderboards sh1ro topped:
K-D diff: +111

DPR: 0.48
KAST: 77.8%
Clutches 1vsX won: 19
