Heroic win Danish Derby and qualifies for BLAST Fall Finals

Astralis will miss out on competing on home soil.

The all-Danish derby between Astralis and Heroic ended with a 2-0 victory for Heroic.

In what seemed to be a stroll in the park for Heroic on Ancient turned out to be a true brawl. Heroic had won the first half 12-3, but then Astralis came back. Usually, that means, that Benjamin "blameF" Bremer had been activated, but today the perhaps only star player on Astralis did not turn up on Ancient. Instead, it was in-game leader Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander and stand-in Mikkel "MistR" Thomsen, who drove Astralis to double overtime. Here the fun ended for Astralis, who could not shut down René 'TeSeS' Madsen, who dropped a 40 bomb on Astralis.

On Nuke Astralis won the first two rounds, but from here on it was Heroic in control. cadiaN and his teammates played very well to keep Astralis at a comfortable distance, and ended up winning 16-10 to win the derby. Heroic will be the only Danish team in the Royal Arena in November at BLAST Fall Finals.
