Heroic owner after BLAST Fall Final: There is a lot more to come
We got the chance to speak with the big boss at Heroic after their impressive result yesterday.
Yesterday evening, in front of a packed Royal Arena in Copenhagen, the home favourites from Heroic took home their biggest title so far by winning BLAST Premier Fall Final in front of the powerful superstars from FaZe.
It has been a long journey for the Danish side who have faced a lot of obstacles on their way. Going from a failed takeover by FunPlus Phoenix, cheating accusations, being dubbed as “onliners” to now having won a big and prestigious LAN event.
After last night’s Grand Final, we got the chance to speak with Heroic’s owner and CEO Joachim “Noobwork” Haraldsen, who was clearly proud of his squad.
- I’m so incredible proud. They have been fighting for so long through ups and downs, with the last two years having been really tough for Heroic. But I have believed in the guys, I have seen them fight so hard, and now we finally did it – and we did it here in DENMARK, Haraldsen said to Pley.gg.
The work is not done
Haraldsen, who is the founder of Omaken Sports, the organization behind Heroic, explains in the interview with us that there’s more to come after yesterday’s impressive result.
- I think we still have a lot to improve. That’s one of the fun parts and we still have a lot of things in our toolbox. So, wait and see. This is for sure a good step up there [towards the very top of CS:GO]. But let’s keep that grind going because we have a lot more to show.
Consistency is key
- This is for sure a long-term project. I really believe in consistency and I think one of the most important things about building a winning team is to have a winning culture. And it’s really hard to build that if you keep changing the teammates. So, it’s important to have a good core we believe in – we believe we have five of the best players in the world, Haraldsen stated.
