Heroic eliminated from BLAST World Finals

In the second elimination match of the day at BLAST World Finals, Heroic fell short after three maps of intense action.

The match kicked off on Inferno. Here Valeriy 'b1t' Vakhovskiy delivered one of his best performances this year with a huge map. The Ukrainian dominated Heroic on the T-side dropping 19 kills during the first half. B1t ended up 30-11 in K-D during Inferno and helped his team secure a 16-10 win.

Heroic picked Ancient as the next map of the match. Here they utilized the firepower of k0nfig, who especially in the second half went above and beyond what can be expected from a stand-in player. The former Astralis player topped the scoreboard as Heroic won Ancient in style 16-8.

Nuke was left as the decider. For NAVI it was again b1t who acted as the driving force for the CIS team that took a 9-6 lead to the break. In the second half, it all leaned towards a comfortable NAVI victory. But at 13-7 it all changed. Down four against five and with a questionable buy, it was sjuush with a Nova shotgun, that made all the difference.

The Heroic player smashed NAVI with the $1050 shotgun and suddenly the Danish roster was activated. The faces of the NAVI players turned pale as Heroic made it 13-13. But then NAVI answered back and earned themselves the first match point of the match. Here it was s1mple and b1t who won a 2vs2 to seal the win and eliminate Heroic.

NAVI will face the loser of OG and Team Vitality tomorrow.
