Heroic edge past OG to secure playoff spot
The world's number one shows once again why they could go all the way at IEM Katowice.
Heroic took upon OG in the upper bracket semi-final. A win for any of the two teams will grant them a spot to fight for the title in Spodek arena.
OG came off to a great start as they got the early lead after their pistol-round win. A 3-0 lead in favor of OG has quickly turned around to an even half for the Danes who fought their way back to win the half 8-7. Despite a good T side from OG, IGL Casper "cadiaN" Møller took control on the T side as Heroic dominated the mixed European team to take map one 16-10. OG stood no chance against the right calls that the Heroic IGL pulled out while mid-round.
Next up, Mirage. The two previous times that OG and Heroic faced off on Mirage Heroic was the team to come out on top in both games. However, this time OG came out pressing the speeder as they gained themselves a 4-0 lead on the favored CT side. The young Danes came back and got six rounds to their name as the first half ended 9-6 in favor of OG. Heroic led by jabbi came out as the dominant team after they took ten out of thirteen possible to clinch a spot at Spodek arena.
