Gambit top out Group D in ESL Pro League!
Big dominant from the Russians secure 2-0 victory against FURIA and wins 15 matches in a row.
The series starting with FURIA’s map pick on Inferno, and things did not go as planned for the Brazilian squad. Gambit winning the pistol round and keeping FURIA’s away from both bombsites. Hobbit absolute closed b site with a quad-kill, where he was hiding behind the FURIA’s offense. The first half looked like Gambit had everything under control, but FURIA managed to get their offense running, and the first half ended 9-6 in the favor of Gambit. In the second half, sh1ro’s troops retake control of the game, converting the pistol and the following three rounds and take the lead comfortable 12-6. The Gambit kept pushing through FURIA’s defense and closing the map 16-8.
This took us to Gambit pick on Vertigo, and FURIA would see more success. The Brazilians were off to a good start, winning their CT pistol and made it quick 3-0 on the scoreboard. Gambit didn’t let themselves affect of the pressure, as they answered back by taking the following five rounds. Gambits achieved excellent results with patience, and particularly Hobbit consistently picking apart the FURIA's defense to rack up a 10-5 lead at the first half. Gambit solidified the victory on Vertigo, where FURIA couldn’t remain as competitive in the second half, which meant that Abay “Hobbit” Khasenov and company steamrolled over them to set the final score at 16-5.
