Gambit eliminate Enterprise from V4 Future Sports Festival

Gambit are through to the semi-finals at V4 Future Sports Festival 2021, following a 2-1 victory over Enterprise in the Quarter-finals. Hobbit and the rest of Gambit will take upon the Germans from BIG in the semi-finals, while Enterprise leaves the tournament on a 5-6th place with $11,451 in prize earnings.

The action of the Quarter-final matchup started on Gambit’s beloved map pick of Dust2 which didn’t go quite as planned for nafany’s men, as Enterprise surprisingly went on to strike first against them with a 16-12 victory. Enterprise’s MATYS delivered the best performance on the server, finishing on top of the scoreboard with an impressive 26-15 K/D and 1.63 Rating.

However, the loss didn’t affect nafany and the rest of Gambit who just answered back by completely dominating Enterprise on their pick of Inferno, where they delivered a monstrous team performance. Gambit picked Enterprise apart round after round, getting up to 7-0 before their opponents secured their first. Enterprise fought their way to get another two rounds on the scoreboard, but Gambit finished the remainder of the half for a dominant 12-3 lead. It took no time for Gambit to finish off the Czech-Slovakian roster at 16-3 to tie up the series.

Gambit denied the upset in the end after closing out Mirage 16-6 and wrapping up the series 2-1. The 20-year-old Gambit AWPer, sh1ro, stepped up huge on the decider and was the force of their defense in the first half, which they ended with a dominant 13-2 advantage. Enterprise quickly picked up four rounds in the second half, but their hopes were crushed when interz won a 1v2 situation to help his team hit match point, while also destroying Enterprise's economy. sh1ro delivered 29 frags and topped the scoreboard with a 2.01 Rating.
