Gambit advance to the Grand Finals after dominant 2-0 victory
Gambit only allowed Entropiq 4 rounds in the entire Bo3-series
The IEM Fall CIS event has reached the playoffs and a grand finalist was to be found between Gambit and Entropiq. Gambit is, of course, a well-established roster that has proven themselves time and time over, however, Entropiq has also climbed the rankings as of late. Whilst a close and intense Bo3-series was on the cards, the opposite came to be the case. Gambit came flying out of the gate and battered Entropiq 16-0 on Mirage. The second map saw Gambit finish what they had started and advanced to the Grand Final with a 2-0 victory.
The first map was the pick of Entropiq and saw the Bo3-series start on Mirage. When looking at the statistics it is clear as to why Entropiq chose Mirage as their map pick, as they were sitting on a 9-map win streak before facing Gambit. Their promising form on Mirage, however, didn’t show against Gambit. In dominating fashion, the Gambit boys gave Entropiq no space to breathe and managed to silence them completely. Without having won a single round on Mirage, Entropiq had to see themselves bested at the humiliating scoreline of 16-0.
The second map of the series was to be played on Vertigo and was, of course, the map pick of Gambit. The map of Vertigo has come to be the home ground of Gambit and having only lost one of the last eight matches on Vertigo, things looked bleak for the Entropiq side. And bleak it was. After losing the first three rounds, Gambit switched gears once again and looked just as dominating as they did on Mirage. Only allowing Entropiq four rounds on Vertigo it was Gambit to close out the Bo3-series in a dominant fashion at the scoreline of 16-4.
