forZe grab victory in CIS brawl against Virtus.pro
zorte was a big factor and an essential piece in their strong victory against Jame and company.
forZe keeps the 2nd spot in Group B at ESL Pro League S14, following a strong victory against Virtus.pro on Mirage (16-7) and Overpass (16-12). This is forZe’s second victory at the event as they also managed to take down Complexity 2-1 in their opening match, while Virtus.pro on the other side have been handed their second loss.
The action started on forZe’s map pick of Mirage, where they took the first pistol round on the attack and grabbed the next two before Virtus.pro won a round. Virtus.pro started giving up too much space to forZe and struggled on the retakes, which resulted in Jerry and company dominating the half all the way to a 12-3 scoreline. YEKINDAR and company managed to add four rounds on the scoreboard in the second half before forZe closed out Mirage 16-7 in convincing fashion.
On the second map of the series, forZe once again started things off strongly, winning their CT pistol and converting to go 3-0 up. The second Virtus.pro got their hands on guns the dynamic changed, and YEKINDAR and company went on to take the lead right before halftime, 8-7. Even though Virtus.pro came behind 8-11 early on in the second half, they didn’t let the match slip away as they fought a good battle to close out the map 16-13.
On Overpass, forZe wrapped up the series after closing out the map 16-12 to keep their 2nd spot in Group B and push Virtus.pro further down on the table. forZe’s zorte played a massive role and delivered 27 frags to help his team take the victory. He also finished as the series MVP with an impressive 60-37 K/D against a strong Virtus.pro team.
