Sprout produce stellar comeback to defeat forZe in EU RMR
Jerry and company failed to close out the series despite a massive lead on Inferno.
The young guns from Sprout are off to an outstanding start at the European RMR after defeating Sprout 19-17 in the opening round of Group B. The win came after an outstanding comeback on Inferno where they at one point were behind 14-5.
The Best-of-1 series was set to take place on Inferno where it quickly became evident which team had prepared the best.
Through a strong T-side, forZe managed to go up 11-4 before the switch as they exposed some of Sprout’s difficulties on their defensive side. The domination continued into the second half with Andrey “Jerry” Mekhryakov’s men going up 14-5.
Sprout managed to step up towards the end of regulation winning multiple rounds and putting an end to forZe’s supremacy. After sending the match to overtime, Sprout also succeded to secure the map win with an impressive 19-17 victory.
