fnatic run over FaZe in EPL

Group C of ESL Pro League Season 14 just got a whole lot more interesting as fnatic took down FaZe 2-0, following an incredible comeback on the first map of the series and a speed run trough Mirage to wrap up the action.

The series kicked off on fnatic’s pick of Overpass, with karrigan’s troops securing the pistol round only to fall to a force buy round from fnatic. FaZe responded with their own force buy win and then continued on to absolutely dominate the fnatic-side for the rest of the half, running rampant for a flawless streak of 10 rounds. ALEX’s troops only managed to grab 2 rounds before the whistle as FaZe took pole position with an 12-3 lead. In the second half, fnatic didn’t let themselves affect of the scoreline and were not planning to go down without a fight, pulling together 7 consecutive rounds to close the gap 10-12. FaZe Clan didn’t manage to put an end to any hopes of a fnatic comeback, as they allowed ALEX and company to comeback from a 3-12 half and take Overpass 16-14.

That took us to FaZe Clan’s pick of Mirage, that ended up being another tough map for karrigan’s troops who just allowed fnatic a comeback to draw the first blood to the series. ALEX and company won the pistol and the round afterwards, going up 2-0 before fnatic strung together 4 rounds. From this point, FaZe struggled to create enough space on the T-side and this lead to a convincing 11-4 half for fnatic. FaZe were facing an uphill battle in the second half, and whilst they managed grab the first two rounds, it was only a matter of time before fnatic closed the map out, which they did 16-7.
