FaZe defeats OG in surprising victory.
broky shines in dominant Faze triumph.
FaZe beats a strong and well-playing OG team over three maps. An OG side who had won 6 out the last 8 matches taking down big opponents as NAVI, EG, and G2, but they didn’t manage to win against FaZe in the opening round at IEM Beijing.
Helvijs “broky” Saukants shined throughout the match, displaying an outstanding level of CS. The Latvian talent produced several highlights and helped FaZe to defeat OG 2-1.
16-10 (Inferno) - broky 21-15 k/d, 78.8 ADR, 1.34 rating.
20-22 (Dust2) - Valde 35-29 k/d, 87.9 ADR, 1.29 rating.
16-12 (Mirage) - broky 29-18 k/d, 101.9 ADR, 1.54 rating.
FaZe played fantastically and did not look like a team that just has lost their superstar player, or did they in fact? Because it seemed to be a FaZe team in synergy and a team who appears to be much freer and more unrestricted. That’s not something you conclude on the basis of NiKo’s departure, but it’s still significant to see.
FaZe will play Vitality in important the upper semi-finals on Sunday, while OG is being sent down in the lower bracket playing against Spirit.
