Excellent start for tournament favorites Gambit at PGL Stockholm

The IEM Katowice champions from Gambit got off to a brilliant start at the PGL Major in Stockholm.

Against ENCE, the Russians were on point in the bo1 match on Overpass. Beforehand it was speculated if this matchup could have been an issue for Gambit since ENCE has had the opportunity to "warm-up" during the Challengers Stage. It took two rounds for Gambit to find their ground in the studio environment in Stockholm, and from then on it was almost one-way traffic.

A 9-6 lead at the break was converted to a 16-7 victory in a match, where the entire Gambit roster delivered fine performances. A promising sign for the young Gambit roster, where four out of five players are debutants at a Major tournament.

Both teams will play later today in the second round of the Legends Stage.
