ESL Pro League Group D update
Three teams are competing for the number one spot
With the final round of Group D and thereby also the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 13 beginning later today, let's take a look at how things are currently looking.
Group D is, by many, called the "group of death" because of it being packed with big organizations and top-tier rosters. As a matter of fact, it is only Endpoint out of the six teams who are unable to say that they have been a top 5 team at some point in their Counter-Strike careers.
Despite the fact that the last round of group D is yet to be played, we now know the three teams who are set to advance to the playoffs. Liquid, Astralis, and Virtus.pro are all currently sitting on 9 points, whereas Evil Geniuses, fnatic, and Endpoint are sat on 3 points each. This, of course, means that no matter what happens in the three series later today, the advancing rosters from group D have been found.
Whilst it has already been determined which teams are going to advance to the playoffs, it is still a close fight for the number one spot of the group. The victor of Group D will be found later today between Liquid, Astralis, and Virtus.pro.
