ESIC opens investigation of Heroic players in coach bug-case
The Esports Integrity Commission has received material from Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen, the Organization announced today.
Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen continues to be the center of attention at ESIC these days. The now-former Heroic coach implicated his teammates on the 2020 Heroic roster, as he in an interview with Danish TV2 claimed, that the other players knew about the coach bug, that he was found guilty of exploiting in two matches against Astralis and Team Spirit last year.
Today the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) announced, that "HUNDEN" had delivered evidence, that ESIC would take a closer look at. As mentioned in their update about transparency last month, ESIC will now inform, when any investigation is on-going, which is what they have done here.
- ESIC has opened a formal investigation and is examining the information that it has been provided with while also establishing its investigation methodology including further lines of inquiry. ESIC will make further comment on the investigation in due course.
