Entropiq are the champions of Malta Vibes
Entropiq’s Aleksey “NickelBack” Trofimov played a massive role for his team in the Grand final of the event.
The Russian squad from Entropiq are the champions of Malta Vibes after taking down ENCE 2-1 in the Grand final on Dust2 (19-16) and Vertigo (16-8).
ENCE were leading 15-7 on the opening map of the series and felt like they had already won the map. But then Entropiq suddenly picked themselves up and ripped apart ENCE, winning 12 of the next 13 rounds to secure the map in overtime. On ENCE’s map pick of Ancient, the European squad answered back and came out on top after a very close affair that surprised fans due to Entropiq’s recent troubles on the map. On the deciding map, ENCE had a hard time on the T-side and couldn’t break through Entropiq’s defense that just was too good, resulting in a 16-8 victory for the Russian-side to claim the title and secure the grand prize of $25.000.
Entropiq’s NickelBack played a massive role in the series and lead the scoreboard for his team with a 1.11 Rating.
