Tournament organizer receives heavy criticism for cancelled NAVI – Entropiq matchup

The decision could very well be a vital advantage for Entropiq in their attempt to qualify for the upcoming Major.

The 5th place decider at EPIC League CIS 2021 between Natus Vincere and Entropiq will not be played, the tournament organizer EPICENTER confirms in an official statement. The match has been skipped owing to a “mutual decision by the two teams”

That means that NAVI and Entropiq split the 2300 RMR points in two, instead of the winner taking 1200 and the loser getting 1100 points.   

A decision, that quickly got heavy critique and a severe backlash from the community. One of the most vocal individuals is Duncan “Thorin” Shields, who’s left in disbelief over the tournament organizer. Here are some of the reactions from experts and fans.
