Confirmed: HUNDEN receives two-year ban by ESIC
The former Heroic coach has just been served his second ban within 12-months.
At the end of last month, shocking news emerged in the competitive Counter-Strike scene, as Heroic announced that they were taking legal actions against Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen because the Norwegian team believe to have found evidence of him leaking confidential and sensitive information from their stratbook.
Today, the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has published a statement about the issue, where they give their official verdict on HUNDEN. ESIC has found the evidence compelling enough to hand the former Heroic a two-year ban, the commission confirms on Twitter.
In the statement by ESIC, the commission explains that received a report from Heroic on July 6th 2021, implying that HUNDEN had breached the ESIC’s Integrity Program.
"HUNDEN did, in fact (and by his own admission), send information to the opposing team that, at the very least, included information such as anti-strategy materials relating to Heroic’s opponents as well as other sensitive and potentially useful information", ESIC writes in their statement.
