cadiaN with harsh criticism: They are not doing their job properly in my opinion
The Heroic IGL criticises CSPPA and tournament organizers for a way too packed CS:GO calendar.
Yesterday, the renowned tournament organizers in ESL and BLAST Premier publicized a statement involving an update to the CS:GO calendar, concerning the prominent events of ESL Pro League, BLAST Premier Fall, and IEM Fall.
The update means that the players and team will get fewer days in between the tournaments and a shorter player-break. Something, several pros have reacted to on Twitter and other platforms, owing to the current landscape of pro CS being affected by more and more burnouts and players being fatigued.
Heroic’s captain Casper “cadiaN” Møller is one of the individuals who went on Twitter to express his discontent, alongside NIP’s Nicolai “device” Reedtz.
Following their victory against Sprout, cadiaN got the opportunity to touch on the matter, where he explains that he thinks that the CSPPA (The Player Association) aren't doing their job properly. The renowned captain believes that they should work harder for the players' interests, and that there have been several players complaining in the previous years.
He continues by explaining the dilemma between skipping events to avoid the danger of burnouts and the urge and motivation to stay on the very top of CS:GO.
