Brollan Confident in MOUZ's Chances to Win Shanghai Major
Swedish star reflects on team growth, preparation, and overcoming challenges in their 2-0 victory over The MongolZ.
Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin, the 22-year-old Swedish star of MOUZ, is brimming with confidence after their 2-0 victory over The MongolZ in the first Quarter-Final of the Shanghai Major. The win, which came after two dramatic comebacks on Ancient and Nuke, highlighted the team’s resilience and preparation.
- We had a lot of preparation because we knew we were going to play MongolZ four days ago. In the Elimination Stage, we didn’t have much preparation because we played two games in one day. It was not that easy to play against them because we didn’t really know what they were doing. Before this game, we had really good preparation, Brollan told the interviewers at the stage in Shanghai.
Growth Through Experience
Brollan joined MOUZ in January 2024, and he reflected on the strides the team has made since their performance at the Copenhagen Major earlier this year.
- We have just been getting a lot of experience with each other since Copenhagen. At the Copenhagen Major, I had just been with the team for three months. Back in Copenhagen, we didn’t have much experience on stage, especially with each other, but during this season, we had a lot more stage matches. We handle the pressure better.
Brollan emphasized that the team’s evolution has set them up for success in Shanghai.
- It’s the last tournament of the year, we want to give our all and try to win it. I think we are really there, that we can win the whole thing.
What’s Next for MOUZ?
With their victory over The MongolZ, MOUZ now looks ahead to the Semi-Finals, where they’ll face the winner of Team Spirit vs Team Liquid, who will play later today in Shanghai.
