blameF: There’s sometimes a lot of confusion in our mid-rounds
A problematic communication inside the server seems to be returning problem for the Danish side.
Everything started out so good for the new-look Astralis roster. With Benjamin “blameF” Bremer and Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke in the lineup, the Danes secured themselves an impressive 3rd place in their first event together. However, that’s all water under the bridge now.
Yesterday evening, Astralis missed the chance to qualify for the prominent BLAST Premier Spring Final tournament due to a 2-0 loss against the strong Germans from BIG. The lacklustre performance at BLAST Spring Groups was their fourth time in a row ending in the bottom half of the tournament.
In December, Astralis Head Coach, Alexander “ave” Holdt explained in an interview with us that he believed the team had some communication problems.
Something, blameF also touched a bit on in a post-match interview with BLAST after yesterday’s loss.
- I don’t think it’s a matter of fact that it’s me trying to help more. I think it’s more like a lot of confusion in our mid-rounds. It’s not like gla1ve doesn’t know what to call – it’s more like when sometimes he calls there is a lot of confusion about it.
- I don’t think it would help if I just started yelling what I think we should do or anything like that. I also believe that a lot of the times where gla1ve makes a call, it is the right call. I do think we had a lot of chances if we didn’t hesitate in some of our mid-round executes, blameF said.
