NAVI grab hard-fought win at ESL Pro League Season 13
An overtime win and a decider on Nuke were needed for NAVI to take the victory against Cloud9.
The top team from CIS had to fight extremely hard to clinch their opening-round win in Group C, with Cloud9 playing some great Counter-Strike at the 13th season of ESL Pro League. However, the strong showing from C9 couldn’t prevent a close 2-1 defeat.
After both teams managed to grab each other’s map pick on the first two maps of Overpass and Dust2, a thrilling decider on Nuke was on the cards. A map, which has been NAVI’s playground for the last six months, with the Russians presenting an impressive 73.1% win rate.

Something, which also should prove out to be Cloud9’s Achilles’ heel, as Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and company cruised through the ‘Colossus’ by handing them a devastating 16-8 loss in the deciding map.
