Astralis made quick work of EG at IEM Katowice
Evil Geniuses couldn't maintain their strong level from yesterday, with Astralis steamrolling over the NA team.
The power balance between Astralis and the Americans from Evil Geniuses were crystal clear, as the Danes cruised past EG in today’s matchup at IEM Katowice. EG couldn’t find a footing throughout the match and their strong performance from yesterday against mousesports, looked like it was ages ago.
EG decided to start on Train, a rather rare and unknown factor for the two teams, where Astralis clearly proved themselves as the best team on the server. Especially Nicolai “device” Reedtz popped off, as he often does, leading Astralis to the victory and to keep EG under double digits, as Train ends 16-9, with the superstar AWPer averaging a 1.45 Rating.
On Dust2, device and company continued their supremacy by setting up an indestructible CT-defence, which ended in an 11-4 lead. And through a monster 4k round by dupreeh, displaying his deagle and AWP skills, Astralis closed out the series 2-0.
