Astralis knocked out of IEM Beijing by Perfecto and NAVI
Natus Vincere got their revenge on the Danes and advance to the Semi-finals.
One of the big favorites for IEM Beijing-Haidian is out. The Danish roster of Astralis has been eliminated in the Quarter-finals by Natus Vincere. The Russians got their revenge after losing the ESL Pro League Season 12 Final to the Danes.
NAVI started strong on Overpass, where a deadly trifecta including Perfecto, S1mple, and electronic played some amazing Counter-Strike. The three of them all ended Overpass with a combined 36+ in kill/death ratio and helped their team to a clear 16-9 win on Overpass.
The match moved to Astralis’ map pick, Inferno. But again it was NAVI in command. This time it was the Superstar of the team, S1mple who turned up the heat. The Russians went ahead with 8-2 on their CT-side.
Astralis was not dead yet. Device led an assault in the second part of the first half. The Danish side made a comeback to 7-8. But that was the closest, that the Danes came in the match. NAVI were relentless on their T-side and did not allow Astralis any time and space to defend the bombsites.
An impressive performance by NAVI denied Astralis their 10th straight win on Inferno and knocked them out of IEM Beijing-Haidian. Natus Vincere is now ready for the Semi-finals, where they will face G2 on Saturday.
