Video: When Astralis dominated the CS:GO scene
The iconic Danes used to be almost unbeatable
A lot has happened in the past year or two if you are a part of the Astralis organization or have been following them closely. After Nicolai "device" Reedtz left his teammates at Astralis to join the Swedish-based organization Ninjas in Pyjamas, things have looked bleak for Astralis. After signing "blameF" and "k0nfig" things have begun to look up for the Danes, however, there is still a long way to go. Astralis are currently ranked as the 10th. best in the world according to the official HLTV rankings.
Things weren't always difficult for the Astralis boys, however. As a matter of fact, they once used to rule the entire Counter-Strike scene and seemed almost unbeatable. Thanks to a very cohesive team structure and impeccable strategies orchestrated by "gla1ve", the old Astralis core remains the best in the history of CS:GO.
With four major titles under their belt, the most any team has ever won in CS:GO's history, it is sad to see the Danes struggle to find their previous form. Whilst they are still in contention for a great 2022 season it is difficult to imagine that they will ever be able to become Astralis we once knew once again. This, however, doesn't mean that we can't appreciate just how crazily good the Danes were at their peak. Take a look at some of the most impressive moments from the old Astralis - the Astralis that no one could beat.
