Team Vitality advance to semi-finals at IEM Fall

Team Vitality are through to the semi-finals of IEM Fall, following a 2-0 victory over CPH Flames in the second Quarter-final of the day, in which the Danes gave everything they had. The Frenchmen will now face off against NiP in the semi-finals of the event, while CPH Flames will join Movistar Riders in the 5th-8th decider bracket.

The action of the Quarter-final started on Dust2, where Team Vitality ended the first half with a 10-5 advantage following a near perfect CT-side. In the second half, the Danes gave the Frenchmen a hard-fight and won several rounds by retaking bombsites to lower their deficit to only one round at 11-12. But unfortunately for them, Vitality proved to be too strong as they ran away with a 16-12 victory in the end, with ZywOo topping the scoreboard with a 1.52 Rating and 100.5 ADR.

CPH Flames started off strong on the T side of Vertigo, where they quickly bounced back after losing the pistol to create a 3-1 lead. Vitality picked themselves up and equalized the score at 3-3, but from there on, CPH Flames took control of the map and went on to comfortably end the half with a 9-6 advantage. It seemed like the Danes were going to close out the map and force the decider as they sat on a 14-11 lead, but the Frenchmen climbed back and ended up closing the map 16-14 on the back of a strong team performance as Terrorists.
