CPH Flames director on regali: There’s already been “persistent interest” from tier-1 organizations
How long will the Danes manage to keep their talented AWPer?
“We have found a player, that we believe we can turn into a superstar”
That were the words of Copenhagen Flames’ CEO and co-owner, Steffen Thomsen after the signing of Iulian "regali" Harjău back in August 2022. A bold statement perhaps. Nonetheless, they seem to be on the right track.
Because here less than five months after his first match for the Danish squad, the organization reveals that there has been a “persistent interest” from multiple tier-1 organizations in the attempt of signing the promising AWPer.
- regali has had a really nice autumn together with the rest of the team. There has already been interest in him from some really big organizations, tier-1 organizations Philip Karsbøl, Sports Director at CPH Flames, confirms. This was also a persistent interest, Karsbøl adds.
Despite the interest from top-tier organizations, Karsbøl assures that they are seeking to keep him in Flames.
- regali has a long contract with us and we look forward to continuing our cooperation with him, and we are still of the belief that he can develop further at CPH Flames. However, we are also aware that at some point in the future we will have to send regali on to a larger address.
regali’s stats since joining CPH Flames:
1.24 Rating / 77.5 ADR / 0.80 kills per round / +600 K-D
Potential for great things
- Already when he played on the academy team of his former club, fnatic, I could clearly see that he has the potential for great things, Karsbøl states. In addition, his coach and teammates give him some really good conditions to perform, since we try to play a lot on his strengths. In addition, regali works really hard, which also pays off.
