Spirit survive another day at IEM Rio Major

The Russians from Spirit are now only one victory away from securing a ticket to the Champions Stage after they took down Sprout with a 2-0 result in the 1-2 pool in the Legends Stage. With the victory, Spirit sit on a 2-2 record and will slowly prepare for the final round, which will be played on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sprout’s players who delivered a surprise victory over Ninjas in Pyjamas and sent them home packing, will have to see their Major adventure end with a 12-14th finish and $20.000.

Sprout’s Major adventure began when they qualified for the European RMR and went 3-1 with victories over forZe, Spirit, and B8. This time, Spirit got their revenge for the loss at the RMR’s.
