Spirit ready for IEM Beijing
The Russian team won the upper bracket final in the qualifiers.
With their third win in a row at IEM Beijing-Haidian Europe Closed Qualifier, Spirit has booked their ticket for the main event.
Having won against FATE and North earlier this week the Russian team took down Sprout in today's upper bracket final.
It started rough for the Russians though. On Nuke the Spirit-team got thorn apart and lost 16-3.
On Inferno, the roles had switched. Sprout got destroyed 16-4.
Train was the decider. It started well for Sprout, who went to the break with a 9-6 lead. But on the German team's T-side, everything went wrong. Spirit took 10 rounds in a row to secure them a 16-9 victory and a ticket for IEM Beijing with a reverse sweep victory.
Sprout has an additional chance of qualifying. They will meet the winner of the lower bracket final for the last ticket for IEM Beijing-Haidian Europe.
