Spirit ready for the Grand Final at DreamHack Open
The Russian side eliminated Illuminar on two maps.
I started well for the Polish team Illuminar against Spirit. The Poles were not expected to stand many chances in the matchup with the #16 in the World.
But Illuminar took the lead at halftime on Train 9-6. And then that was it. Spirit dominated on their T-side. They took home Train with 16-12 and continued the domination on Dust2, where they went to halftime 11-4.
The second half was more even, but the big lead proved to be too difficult to handle for Illuminar, who lost Dust2 16-9.
Spirit will face either AGF or Gambit in the Grand Final tomorrow with $50.000 on the line for the winner.
Illuminar finishes the tournament as 3/4th and a solid $10.000.
