Media: British duo in talks with fnatic
ALEX and mezii could be joining fnatic according to a report by 1pv.fr.
The Swedish organization is on the hunt for bringing in Cloud9 duo Alex “ALEX” McMeekin and William “mezii” Merriman to the fnatic squad, according to a report by French news media, 1pv.fr. Earlier this month, fnatic began a rebuilding process by removing Maikil “Golden” Selim and Jesper “JW” Wecksell from the line-up and are now in talks with the British duo.
After JW’s departure, the organization announced that they would be looking internationally to rebuild their roster, leaving no doubt that more drastic changes were to come as the team has been struggling to find their form since the beginning of the online era.
The former Cloud9 captain, ALEX, was tempted by a move to VALORANT after the “Colossus” project was disbanded in March. But the 25-year-old decided to change his mind and could very soon re-launch his career at fnatic, where he would play alongside Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson and Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin.
As for mezii, he quickly bounced back after Cloud9 and joined Endpoint, with whom he showed a very good level against Tier2 teams. The 22-year-old has definitely proved that he deserves another shot at the top level of Counter-Strike and joining fnatic would be a good opportunity.
fnatic’s roster could look like this:
Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin
Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson
Jack ”Jackinho” Ström Mattsson
Alex “ALEX” McMeekin
William “mezii” Merriman
Andreas “Samuelsson” Samuelsson (Coach)
