magixx after crushing Astralis: We expected to beat them
Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander and company only managed to win 15 rounds against Spirit in the EPL opener.
The Russians from Spirit are off to a fantastic start at ESL Pro League Season 17 after they dismantled Astralis 2-0 in yesterday’s opening round of Group D. Something Spirit’s two young riflers Boris “magixx” Vorobiev and Robert “Patsi” Isyanov discussed on the couch alongside the ESL analysts.
- We expected to win against Astralis because we know their playstyle pretty well. In the past we have been learning a lot and it’s not really because they have changed a lot through the years, magixx said.
When asked about Spirit’s further progression in the group, patsi touches on some previous clutching problems within the team.
- I think it’s all in our minds. We can make upsets and give a good fight. At IEM Katowice and CCT Central Europe Malta Finals, we were losing a lot of clutches that we should have won but now we are taking it and it’s much better.
- Basically, we can make upsets or we can shit our pants, magixx added with a smile.
