Magisk: We’re not there yet
The powerful rifler says that we haven't seen peak Astralis yet.
Astralis put up an amazing run at DreamHack Masters Winter, despite their upset against GODSENT in their opening match. The mighty Danes have eliminated some elite teams on their way to the victory - their everlasting rivals from Liquid, a star-studded G2, the youngsters from Gambit and the dangerous black panthers from FURIA. And in the grand final, it was former Astralis IGL karrigan and his troops who were on the chopping board.
It was therefore also a joyful group of Astralis players that spoke with the desk at DreamHack Masters in a winner interview after their convincing victory against mousesports. Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen reflects on gla1ve’s return as in-game leader and what changes that has meant.
Their star clutcher Xyp9x continues by describing how the Danish team coped with the rather long technical break at a deciding time on Vertigo.
Emil “Magisk” Reif makes it clear that even though, Astralis have taken down gigantic opponents and presented a stellar level of CS, they are not at their peak yet.
Astralis can add further titles to an already packed trophy cabinet, if they manage to win their last two tournaments of 2020, BLAST Premier Fall Finals and IEM Global Challenge.
