Are Astralis creating a new meta in CS:GO?
The AUG hasn't been heavily used since its nerf back in 2019 - That might change in the future.
The CS:GO scene has endured a lot of different meta’s in the history of the game. All something which has divided the community in half, where some of them has been cherished, and some of them hated. - We have seen Krieg meta, the CZ, the Tec9, and now it looks like a new tendency has seen the light.
Through multiple occasions and events, the Danes from Astralis has decided to equip the AUG instead of using either the M4 or other rifles. The former #1 team has used the scoped weapon, which can give a strong advantage in long-range duels and when holding angels, significantly more than other top teams lately.

Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander and his troops are renowned for their innovative thinking within the Counter-Strike scene, where they have told on several occasions that they aren't afraid of being first movers. It will be exciting to follow whether Astralis sticks with the AUG's or this trend just being an experiment.
