High-flying Spirit takes down Heroic in upset win!
A superb comeback on Nuke sees the CIS team go 2-0 at PGL Antwerp.
The second round of Day 1 action from Antwerp started with Heroic taking on Team Spirit. Both teams had started the day with a victory and could take a huge step towards the Champions Stage with a win.
Heroic started on the CT side and took full advantage of it in the beginning. An early 8-1 lead was converted to a 10-5 lead. Spirit picked up the pace in the second half after switching sides. Momentum was now on their side, which the scoreboard reflected with Spirit taking the lead. Once again it was the 18-year-old Robert "Patsi" Isyanov, who was taking charge of the young CIS team, who constantly denied Heroic any space or opportunities on their T side.
A much-deserved victory for Team Spirit now gives them three chances to qualify for the Champions Stage, while Heroic falls down to the 1-1 bracket of teams.
