GODSENT topple North in a three-map series to reach playoffs
North has been eliminated from the DreamHack Masters Winter event after a 1-2 loss against GODSENT.
GODSENT won the Group B lower bracket semi-final against North on Nuke (16-9) and Overpass (16-13) despite a bad start to the series on the first map, where North won a close affair on Train (14-16).
The Danish squad got off well on the first map, but GODSENT answered back by convincingly taking their own favorite map pick on Nuke. It all came down to the decider on Overpass, where zehN and company were in the driving seat until North threatened to turn things around on the offense with a more aggressive playstyle, but the GODSENT squad managed to hold off the comeback attempt in the last moments.
Despite the loss, gade was the top player of the match and finished off with an overall rating of 1.23, 84,7 ADR, and a 72-57 score which unfortunately wasn’t enough to push his team through in the end.
GODSENT will take on Heroic in the single-elimination playoffs tomorrow at 13:00 (CEST).
