FunPlus Phoenix defeat Renegades 2-0

Miikka “suNny” Kemppi lead the charge for his team and played a massive role in the victory.

In the first matchup of the day at ESL Pro League Season 13, FPX came out on top following a clean 2-0 victory over the Oceanic rulers from Renegades in Group A, rising from yesterday’s loss against Complexity. FPX’s suNny who yesterday got his first official match for the team, shined on top of the scoreboard as he delivered 46 frags and won important key rounds that helped secure his team the victory.

Nuke: 16-11
Dust2: 16-9

The action started on FPX’s map pick of Nuke where Farlig and company had a great showing on their T-side, picking up 8 rounds before switching sides. Renegades managed to grab 4 rounds before FPX’s strung the last rounds together to close out the map 16-11.

On Dust2 FPX secured the victory and showed good structure in their defense. In a controlled manner, the newly established squad went on to close the map after a good comeback from Renegades who lowered their deficit to only 1 round on CT-side, before FPX took 6 in a row to close out the map 16-9 and wrap up the series 2-0.
