Germans continue their run at Flashpoint
BIG has secured themselves a place in the playoffs at Flashpoint.
Russian forZe could not stop BIG, who played their first of two matches today.
The match started on BIG’s favorite map, Dust2. Here the Germans very quickly showed, why they have a 69% win rate on the map against top tier teams.
The map ended with a clear 16-7 victory after all of BIG’s players ended with a positive K/D-ratio.
On Inferno, the match became much more even. Both sides started well and traded wins. forZe won the first half by 8-7.
The Russians looked like a team, that was about to put the match into the third map. Leading 14-9 they were trying to seal the deal on Inferno. But the resiliant Germans took control of the match once again, and won seven maps in a row to take home the victory. An important two map win for the Germans, who play later tonight in the IEM Beijing-Haidian tournament against mousesports.
BIG is now ready for the playoffs in Flashpoint 2, while forZe needs to win the Consolidation Final to go through.
